Ongoing construction to the Friday Building for HVAC upgrades will cause several road, parking lot, building and sidewalk closures tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 6, from approximately 6 a.m. to noon. Helicopters will also be in the area as part of the construction process.

Here is the impact:

• Friday Building and Fretwell Building will be closed.
• The Botanical Gardens will be closed.
• Parking Lots 5, 5A and 6 will be closed.
• Van Landingham Road and Martin Village Road will be closed.
• Mary Alexander Road between Craver Road and Van Landingham Road will be closed.
• The bus stops at Fretwell North and South will be closed. Bus traffic will follow a detour.

What you can expect:

Along with the closures, you will see increased construction equipment and barricades in the impacted area. A helicopter will be flying over and hovering in this campus area to deliver necessary equipment. Construction personnel may also be directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

Important Note: In the event of severe weather, the project will be delayed.
